Broadcast News Networks Completely Ignore The Taxpayer Cost Of Low Wages

"Today’s welfare queens are corporations. McDonald’s actually has a resource line for how to apply for government assistance. Walmart employees make up the biggest segment of U.S. workers on public assistance. These companies, which rake in massive profits, should have no need for such subsidizing. And yet, they insist on taking advantage of welfare in ways that most of us probably never thought they would.
So Fox News and Republicans want to keep the minimum wage where it is, and continue making cuts to welfare programs. The facts are that they can’t have both. To save taxpayer dollars on assistance programs, we should definitely raise the minimum wage. This is something that our traditional news networks should start studying, and reporting."
